In the 12 stations you can get information about all the steps on
the staircase to our Brazilian heaven: when you are interested in
something special just jump in directly
1.Station
Saquarema? Never
heard of it? Niki Lauda knows it, Paulo Coelho as well, Shakespeare,
Mozart and a few others never had a chance! A wonderful place in the
Lake District of Brazil, 80 km north of Rio de Janeiro:
enormous lagoons teeming with jumping fish, tropical mountains, endless
white sandy beaches with giant breakers. The Brazilian centre of Surf
and Volleyball: the palmheart of Brazil.
2.Station
I
simply want superb holidays. Bikinis and
beach, fishing with Brazilians, blue lagoons abounding with shrimp
and crabs and unexplored green mountains. Surf and Volleyball, Ultralight,
Horseriding or just playing football on the beach with the future
Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. Take an excursion to Maracana´ Stadium:
Flamengo, the most famous team of Brazil, is playing. Rio de Janeiro,
Copacabana and Ipanema. Catch the funicular up the Sugar Loaf. But
then leave the big city behind and come back to the peace of Saquarema
where your Brazilian friends are waiting to take you out to learn
to dance the Samba and the Forro, a very sensual dance.

a cheap holiday home...
First
of all I want to spend the winter in a nice place for a price that
I can afford
but please something different from Gran Canaria or the Algarve. Directly
on the sea, with plenty going on, go dancing again, feel good, all
for the prices of yesterday, like in Majorca thirty years ago.

What`s the price of a cup of coffee in Brazil?
Well, three of us watched the world go by from the cafe in the
square in Saquarema this morning and paid less than one dollar (for
three!) You can do better: lunch from the Buffet for less than four
dollars (just two pounds), with fresh juice, ice-cream and coffee.
The best barbecued steaks in the world and fresh fish; prawns from
the lagoon - all at prices you had forgotten about. An ice-cold beer:
Brahma or Bavaria? Try Caipirinha, the favourite Brazilian alcoholic
drink. And services? My chauffeur, will he cut the grass as well...?
some
prices and exchange rates...
Dentists are
wonderful, I heard, and glasses are very cheap...
4. Station

O.K. You`ve convinced me! I can live there. How much
would it cost to buy a house? Not too vague, please. Some concrete
information. Let`s say, what would I get for 50.000 US$ or 30.000
Pounds? A bamboo hut in the jungle or a really well constructed house
for me and my butler?

5. Station

That`s
fine. But I have my own ideas concerning my home. I don`t
just want to buy something and make alterations. Always compromises!
A house should be the end-result of my ideas, my imagination and my
needs, with tropical hardwood; compact and original, but fine and
affordable, if possible directly on the waterfront...
Residences
beyond palm trees...
A
mansion high above the lake, Zurich, Geneva or Lugano would
be good, with a housekeeper, a cook and a gardener; the Bentley and
the Ferrari in the garage… o.k., o.k. that will be a bit too
much… But something special I could afford. And if it`s going
to be Brazil, then Brazil indeed: a villa designed by myself with
breathtaking views of the lagoons and the sea, minimum 5000 m2 of
my own.... we`re getting close….when I can get that for 80 000
Pounds or US$ 150 000 I will sell my little house in Tenerife and
still have sufficient money to live on comfortably.

6. Station

That could be it indeed! It has a touch of paradise.
But probably a thousand promises and when you get there it will be
in the middle of the desert. I only believe what I see. But what about
a month to check it out? Afterwards I will know about Brazil and I
will know whether it`s a place that will suit me. Even if I decide
that it`s not what I want, I certainly would have had a nice cheap
holiday in Saquarema and visited Rio de Janeiro!

7. Station

The idea seems to be good. How I can get there? Flight to
Rio de Janeiro, then I hope somebody will pick me up at the
airport…Of course, but until now we cannot help with flights.
Better that you ask your travel agent….if he is really good
we would like to contact him as well. Tell him to get in touch with:

8. Station

Above
all I would like to know whether I can live in Brazil. Could I get
a visa to live there permanently? And when I buy
a house who will guarantee that everything will be all right? Where
are the hidden costs, the traps in the small print…
9. Station

To avoid high living costs is only one side of the
coin. I want to wake up in the morning without seeing everything grey,
I want to bring some colour into my life. I worked all my life and
I am financially independent but I need an interesting activity.
I would like very much to bring in all my experience with me. All
day long at the beach….

That
would be fine, but I need at least some income |

10. Station

I would like it very much if I could meet somebody and start
a new relationship. Who knows what will develop. But how?
Here with us! In our surroundings you will find a lot of Brazilians;
we know a lot of people who are also interested in a relationship
and we ourselves live in an intercultural environment.
We go out together, go to dance together. Something may just happen…

11. Station

I have got some money. Basically I could live on it but whatever
you invest here gives you such a small return on your money and on
that little return you still have to pay an exorbitant amount of income
tax. What`s it like in Brazil? Who knows, maybe I could open a small
company, I already have something in mind…

12. Station

Now
this is more like heaven! But still I have a lot of questions…electricity,
crime, vaccination…how far is it to Amazonia, are there dangerous
animals...If you can`t find the answer in the following FAQ-Catalogue
we will reply to you personally. Of course we will write to you as
well if you would like to know whether we have space in one of our
holiday homes…Please send us an Email or call.
